"Property Rights are the cornerstone of the American way of life and the American dream. It is a freedom taken for granted by too many Americans. Government policy and legislation often encroach upon these rights."

What is the League?
The League of Kentucky Property Owners is a group of private landowners and farmers concerned with legislation which erodes rights of property owners. Its members recognize the responsibility of all property owners to be prudent stewards of their lands. They do not believe that government has the right to take the use of a person's land without fair compensation. The mission of the League is to create an awareness in our communities about the value of property rights as an integral part of our society. The challenge is to create an atmosphere of cooperation between property owners and local, state, and federal government.

Who should join the League?
The League invites homeowners, farmers, developers and others who are interested in protecting the rights of the property owner to join their neighbors in this worthwhile endeavor.

What does the League provide?
The League helps the individual property owner by providing an association of persons with similar interests, concerns and expertise that will interact with governmental bodies as a "united front." Some of the Benefits and services of the League include:

  • A forum for the exchange of ideas and concerns developing in our communities.
  • A forum for the introduction of legislation to protect property rights which have for too long been ignored.
  • Newsletters and legislative updates on issues that are being debated locally and around the country.
